SHINAKI (LOWER HUNZA)

The Shinaki area in lower Hunza is 65km north of Gilgit, and is bordered by the Nagar Valley on the eastern and southern sides. The region gets its name from the Shina language which is predominantly spoken here. This area includes mainly villages including Khizerabad, Hussainabad, Mayon, Khanabad and Nasirabad. Lovely views can be enjoyed from Skindarabad Nagar and Nasirabad, which is located on KKH and is well known for granite production, has spectacular views of Rakaposhi Mount and Diran Peak in the Nagar Valley. Guests can experience the famous treks of Mayoon Bar, Rooi Bar, Bayyais Hussainabad and Hachinder in Nasirabad.
