One of the best lodges in Africa

Our 5th stay here. If anyone said I could be teleported to anywhere in the world this would be the place I would choose.

One of the great qualities is the view, whether from your room, the restaurant, lower viewing area (almost the same as the restaurant). If you are lucky on the left hand side you can get views of Kilimanjaro. A waterhole is in front with plenty of activity, parties of elephants, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, eland, waterbuck, ostrich etc, particularly at night during dinner jackal (by day sometime, see photo) and hyena pass by. The view is forever changing.

We have all types of rooms here. It appears many tours come here for just one night so have smaller rooms but these have all you need and most have views of the waterhole.

This time we have a suite with large bedroom, bathroom and "lounge" as well as balcony. However views from other rooms will be equally as good.

The viewing area and restaurant are covered but open (without glass) so you can enjoy the view and waterhole.

Breakfast rather is a buffet and has a good choice. Lunch is on the same basis. Dinner is slightly different in that your had a choice of soup severed to you, and then the buffet.

Food was good and the choice should suite anyone.

Staff were friendly, talkative and apricating of you being there.

There is a small pool in the grounds behind the hotel and plenty of bird life as well.

Hope to go back next year

Amazing lodge

What an amazing place. We had a wonderful room overnight the watering hole- we could not have asked for better. It was amazing to see all the animals. It is lit up at night so you could still see the animals- and hear the hyenas! The restaurant overlooks the waterhole as well. The food was delicious and a view of Kilimanjaro in the morning! Our only regret was only staying one night- wish we had done two nights.

Amazing Views

This place can take your breathe away when you walk into the restaurant area and have a view of the watering hole. There were buffalo, elephants, giraffee, zebra etc so if you have done game drives in the past, for me, it was just as amaxing to sit with a cold Tusker beer and watch the game. The staff are friendly and always attending to your every need. They arranged a drive to Lion's Rock to watch the sunset which was out of this world. Drinks and snacks on a rock with a view. A little piece of heaven
