KENYA DISCOVERY SAFARI

Day 1 - Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park

07:30hrs After a Pre-Safari briefing, depart with your Safari Driver Guide and drive to Tsavo West National Park. Upon entry into the park, enjoy a game viewing drive en route to the Lodge to arrive in the early afternoon for check-in followed by lunch.

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge

Superbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro and sheltered by the volcanic splendor of the Chyulu Hills, this classic stone-built lodge overlooks its own water hole, which is visited daily by elephants, buffalos and a wide variety of plains game. One of the first lodges ever to be built in a national park, the lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-viewing. It is also ideally placed for visits to all the park's prime attractions.

16:00hrs Depart for an afternoon game drive in the park returning to the lodge in time to refresh for dinner.

Day 2 - Tsavo West National Park

Full day in the Park with morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The park offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world with large herds of dusty-red elephants, hippopotamus, giant crocodiles, black rhinoceros and African buffalos. The park includes also the lion, the cheetah and the leopard. The "big five" can be seen in Tsavo. Other animals commonly seen in the park are the zebra, the antelopes and gazelles, the mongoose, the hyrax, the dik-diks and the lesser kudu. Birdlife is abundant as more than 600 species of bird have been recorded

Some of the interesting areas to be visited are the Mzima springs, Roaring rocks, Chaimu and Shetani Lava sites to mention a few.

Day 3 - Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park

08:00hrs Depart after  breakfast in the lodge anf drive to Amboseli National Park to arrive in the early afternoon for check-in and lunch at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.

Set against the manificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely priviliged position at the heart of this world-famous national park. Shaded by palm trees, is a free-form swimming pool, to either side of which stretch the rooms.

At 16:00hrs, enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive. Elephants are a dominant presence in Amboseli. They are tracked almost constantky by reseacrchers thus, the reason they have largely escaped the ravages of 1980s poaching. Here, you are able to spot some of the older "tuskers" lumbering almost delicately before the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 4 - Amboseli to Nairobi & Onward to Maasai Mara

08:00hrs After breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you to Amboseli Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi departing at 09:05hrs to arrive at 09:50hrs. On arrivla in Nairobi, you will be assisted by the airline staff to connect your onward flight to Massai Mara Game Reserve departing at 10:00hrs to arrive at 11:00hrs. You will be met on arrival at Mara Serena Airstrip by your Lodge Driver Guide and proceed to Mara Serena Safari Lodge for check-in.

Mara Serena Safari Lodge

Perched on the saddle of a hill. the Mara Serena Safari Lodge has one of the most spectacular views imaginable across the vast plains, forests and rivers that make up the Massai Mara, one of the world's richest wildlife sanctuaries. Lunch in the lodge follwed by an afternoon at leisure.

At 16:00hrs, depart for an afternoon game viewing drive.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 5 & 6 - Maasai Mara

Two full days in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in the Reserve at 06:30hrs and 16:00hrs respectively.   The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal, Cheetah, and the rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles.

Day 7 - Maasai Mara to Nairobi & Departure

Breakfast in the lodge.

10:00hrs Transfer to the nearby Mara Serena Airstrip for your schedule flight to Nairobi departing at 11:00hrs. 12:15hrs Met upon arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport by our representative and transfer to

12:15hrs Met on arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport and transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for lunch in Maghreb Restaurant.

Later on transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your homebound flight.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

All rates quoted are on a per person basis unless otherwise stated, and are inclusive of the relevant taxes, levies and service charge. These rates are subject to change without prior notice though rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honored. During high season period a non refundable deposit equivalent to the cost of the first night's accommodation will be required to secure your booking.

Where rates are affected by changes in Government taxes, we reserve the right to pass on such increases. No credit can be given for meals not taken for pre-booked accommodation plans which include meals.

We regret that we cannot accept either personal cheques unless cleared in advance of arrival. We are pleased to accept to accept the following cards: Visa, Access/Master Card, American Express, JCB, Senator, Diners International as well as well as proprietary travelers cheques.

CHILD POLICY

Child under 2 years sharing a room with 1-2 adults is accommodated on a complimentary basis, Child 2 to 12 years of age sharing a room with 2 adults is charged 50% of the per person adult rate. If own room is required 75% of the adult rate is charged., Young adult 13 to 17 years of age is charged 75% of the per person adult rate whether sharing or on their own. Please note these rates are not applicable to air flights and park entrance fees.
